MODULA - Modular Night by Halosaur
On March 14th, the Modular Night (by Halosaur) will take place for the second time as part of the Gaswerk Music Concerts-Series – a special event that will captivate lovers of experimental electronic music.
 

The evening will be divided into two exciting parts: first, three exceptional artists – JULEZ, MIQUEL DANGLA, and HALOSAUR – will each present their individual solo performances, crafted entirely with modular synthesizers. These sound sculptures offer a fascinating journey through electronic soundscapes, where each artist unfolds their own creative vision.
 

In the second part of the night, the audience will experience a unique collective performance. All artists will come together to celebrate the magic of modular synthesizers in an improvised collaboration.
 

MODULA at the Gaswerk Music Concerts-Series is more than just a concert – it is an immersive experience that will delight both music lovers and modular enthusiasts alike.

JULEZ moves between driving techno, hard kicks, distorted acid lines, and industrial influences. Starting out with DJing, the first synth – a Korg Minilogue – in 2019 marked the shift towards a fully hardware-based setup. Since then, raw and energetic sounds have been created through semi-modular setups and analog machines.
With Modular Circuit, an event series launched in 2024, Julez actively supports FLINTA* artists in music and arts, creating spaces for exchange, support, and creative expression.

Hailing from Barcelona, Miquel Dangla moved to Berlin in 2010, where he started cultivating an obsessive relationship with electronic music and the tools to create it. For the past 8 years, he has been working behind the counter and giving workshops at the infamous synthesizer shop SchneidersLaden while playing some of Berlin staple venues such as Ohm, Urban Spree or Arkaoda to mention a few. His approach to making music is unapologetically improvisational and every live set is a unique travel through meandering basslines, sharp beats and spacey soundscapes that sail the shores of techno, dub and acid.
