Parkside Sessions is Orangerie Neukölln's live music series, dedicated to showcasing diverse, up-and-coming talents on Wednesdays. Next up on stage, we present: Klara Zangerl and Maura (+band).

Klara Zangerl (@klarazangerl) is an R&B artist, producer, and songwriter who blends neo-soul and jazz into her distinct sound. Her music explores themes of playful mundanity—like sunscreen, rubber ducks, and waterparks—while diving into dreamlike escapism with stories of surreal worlds, like her self-produced album There’s a Place, which conjures a desert sanctuary shared by an eccentric baby pigeon and a human. Based in Stockholm and Berlin, Klara also collaborates with her band, Scoobz, creating heartfelt and occasionally whimsical live music. She has performed on stages across Berlin and Sweden, including Radio Eins, Xjazz Festival, Debaser, and PowerPose FM festival. With a flair for mixing nostalgic and futuristic sounds, she creates evocative musical experiences through dynamic performances and imaginative soundscapes, inviting listeners into her boundless artistic universe.

Maura (maura_motherofchaos) is a Polish artist based in Berlin whose journey defies the typical path of jazz and soul singers, coming from a working class backgroud. Without formal music education or vocal training, she discovered her musical passion through US and UK underground rap, later diving into jazz, soul, pop, and experimental music. Her story is driven by a relentless passion for her craft.
