Australian singer-songwriter Paul Fogarty was raised on an outback farm surrounded by 200 milking cows and endless fields of corn and wheat. "We had no hot water and no toilet inside the house," Fogarty says.
With every season came new disasters - bushfires, floods, drought, plagues of mice, rats and poisonous snakes.
The only respite from hard work was music and art. "I started writing poems at 13 and songs at 15," Fogarty says. "If it wasn't for the writing I would've gone insane..."
Since 2010 Fogarty has been playing concerts and writing songs full-time with more than 50 of his songs getting radio airplay in Australia, Germany, Canada, UK and USA. Fogarty lives now in south Germany and plays concerts all across Europe and in Australia. His music appears in feature films, TV crime series and ad campaigns.
