This is not a World Music Festival

[DE] Vom 2. bis 23. August präsentiert PHRE lokale und internationale Künstler:innen der experimentellen Popmusik. Auf der Bühne stehen 20 Bands und DJs aus Haiti, England, Schweden, Guatemala, Spanien, Ghana, Japan, Mexiko, Afghanistan, Italien und weiteren Ländern. Zu hören ist keine Weltmusik, sondern dekoloniale und progressive Strömungen der zeitgenössischen Musik. Der Name des Festivals ist inspiriert vom Afrofuturist Sun Ra, der sich mit dem Begriff PHRE Genregrenzen widersetzte.

[EN] From August 2nd to 23rd, PHRE presents local and international artists of experimental pop music. There will be 20 bands and DJs on stage from countries such as Haiti, England, Sweden, Guatemala, Spain, Ghana, Japan, Mexico, Afghanistan, Italy and beyond. What you will hear is not world music, but decolonial and progressive approaches to contemporary music. The name of the festival is inspired by the Afrofuturist Sun Ra, who defied genre boundaries with the term PHRE.

PHRE Pass: [DE] Holt euch auch dieses Jahr unseren PHRE Pass! So funktioniert unser Festivalpass: 5 Konzerte für 60 €. Das sind 12 € für einen Abend mit fesselnden Konzerten und DJ Sets, die uns durch die Nacht begleiten. Mit dem Kauf des PHRE Pass erhaltet ihr einen Code, der für bis zu fünf Konzerttage zwischen dem 2. bis 23. August im Import Export einlösbar ist. Dafür wählt ihr im PHRE Online Vorverkauf vor dem Bezahlvorgang „Mit Code?“. Dann einfach den Code von eurem PHRE Pass eingeben und voilà. [ENG] Get our PHRE Pass again this year! This is how the festival pass works: 5 concert days for 60 €. With the purchase of the PHRE Pass you will receive a code that is valid for up to five concert days between August 2nd to 23th that can be redeemed in import export. To do so, select „With Code?“ before paying in the PHRE online presale. Then simply enter the code from your PHRE Pass and voilà.
