The soundtrack to the post-apocalypse has a name: Protomartyr return to Germany in November 2025 to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their third album, The Agent Intellect.

Since forming in 2010, Protomartyr have released six full-length records. This prolific output has made them a cornerstone of contemporary post-punk. Bands like IDLES, Shame, and even The Devil Wears Prada cite them as an influence. Kelley Deal of The Breeders has joined them on tour as a live member. Iggy Pop called them “the best band we’ve got in America right now.” And honestly, he might be right.

Protomartyr deliver razor-sharp, brooding post-punk with an intensity that hits hardest on stage. Greg Ahee’s dark, distorted guitar work crashes in waves. Joe Casey’s reverb-drenched vocals channel raw frustration. Beneath it all, Scott Davidson (bass) and Alex Leonard (drums) hold the storm together with precision and force.

Unshakably devastating, Protomartyr sound like they’re here to stay.
