Rough Trade Europe x Cari Cari: 'One More Trip Around The Sun' In-store Gig + Signing

We're excited to host a stripped down in-store performance by Austrian duo Cari Cari to celebrate their new album 'One More Trip Around The Sun' which is released on 7th March 2025.

The ticket bundle includes entry to the in-store and a physical copy of the album (CD or Yellow LP) that can be collected at Rough Trade Berlin on the night of the show (26th March). Cari Cari will also sign the albums for you after the show.

Cari Cari is Stephanie Widmer (Vocals, Drums & Didgeridoo) and Alexander Koeck (Vocals, Guitars). The duo lived in London, Hamburg, and Madrid before releasing their debut album Anaana. They were called “the lovechild of The Kills and The xx” (IndieShuffle, US) “with the raw grit of a Cat Power record” (BestBefore, AUS) and “a pinch of Ennio Morricone” (FM4, AUT). Since their inception, Cari Cari have been tirelessly working to create their own world, carefully crafting everything from their music to their artwork, videos to set design in-house. This meticulous attention to detail has earned the band a loyal following; Rolling Stone Magazine called them “the biggest discovery of Primavera Sound Festival,” their die-hard fans sold out 1000+ capacity rooms across Europe, and their debut album was praised by the likes of NME, KCRW, Rolling Stone, BBC Radio 1 and many more.

Now, the band embarks on their next adventure with ‘One More Trip Around The Sun’. This new album encapsulates years of exploration, self-discovery, and artistic growth. “It’s a journey through our own universe, a reflection of the world as it feels in this moment,” explains Widmer.
