Sonidera MX

[DE] Joyce Musicolor, bekannt als Sonidera MX, stammt aus dem Stadtteil Iztapalapa in Mexiko-Stadt. Mit über 15 Jahren Erfahrung als Sonidera und DJ ist sie eine zentrale Figur der lateinamerikanischen Clubmusik und gehört zu den prägenden Stimmen der mexikanischen Sonidero-Szene. Mit einem Gespür für Tradition und Innovation bringt sie die kraftvollen Rhythmen der Cumbia und die Soundsystem-Kultur zu neuen Hörerschaften. Im November 2024 war sie Teil eines historischen Sonidero-Specials bei Boiler Room – gemeinsam mit Szenegrößen wie Sonido La Changa, Amantes del Futuro und Turbo Sonidero. Mit einem energiegeladenen Set demonstrierte sie eindrucksvoll ihre künstlerische Stärke und Bühnenpräsenz.

[ENG] Joyce Musicolor, aka Sonidera MX, is originally from the neighborhood of Iztapalapa, Mexico City. With over 15 years of experience as a Sonidera & Dj, she is at the forefront of the mexican sonidero scene, blending tradition with innovation to bring the vibrant sounds of cumbia and sound system culture to new audiences. In November 2024, Boiler Room hosted a historic Sonidero Special, where Sonidera MX proudly took the stage alongside the most influential figures of the scene, delivering an electrifying set that showcased her talent and power on stage.

King Edi K

[DE] Edi Kistler (Liquits) ist Multiinstrumentalist, Gründer des Labels Matanga Records und Produzent von Bands wie Sotomayor, Músicos de José, Ángel Strife, Play and Móvil Project, Hamurabi und vielen mehr. Sein Solodebüt präsentiert eigene Songs, die den Sound Westafrikas der 1960er-Jahre mit elektronischen Beats und Synthesizern verschmelzen. Als King Edi K bringt er seine Musik live vor allem in Form elektronischer Afrobeat-Performances auf die Bühne, und an den Klang von Fela Kuti, Tony Allen, Jungle Fire, Antibalas oder Budos Band erinnern. Die Show vereint die lebendige Kultur schwarzer Musik mit der elektronischen Dancefloor Sounds.

[ENG] Edi Kistler (Liquits) is a multi-instrumentalist musician, founder of Matanga Records label, producer of bands such as Sotomayor, Músicos de José, Ángel Strife, Play and Móvil Project, Hamurabi, among others. His debut solo project features original songs that fuse the sound of West Africa in the sixties with electronic beats and synthesizers. King Edi K’s live performances are mainly electronic afrobeat acts that are reminiscent of the sound of Fela Kuti, Tony Allen, Jungle Fire, Antibalas or Budos Band. Their show unites the celebratory tradition of black music and the dance floor of electronic music.
