New country. New culture. New dog. Same confused American.
One Man, his German wife, their dog, and zero volume control. Don't miss this hilarious (unarmed) hour of apologetically American standup
From a small town in America to a Berlin apartment with a German wife and a very needy dog, this is a personal and punchy hour of comedy about getting lost (literally and emotionally) in a new country.
In this solo stand-up show, Pat Moore dives into the strange, funny, and sometimes humiliating reality of being an American trying to adapt to life in Germany — with no German language skills, no volume control, and no national pride.
Whether you're an expat, immigrant, visitor, or local with a thing for confused Americans, The American Apology Tour is your chance to laugh at someone else’s awkward adjustment phase. It’s a show for anyone who’s ever moved abroad, dated across cultures, or had to explain Thanksgiving to a European.

Pat Moore is an American comedian based in Berlin. His previous solo show, MAMAS' BOY ~ Lesbian Son Comedy Hour, toured across 28 European cities. His stand-up is storytelling-forward, self-deprecating, and deeply confused — just like he is. He performs regularly across Germany and the EU, was a finalist of the Berlin New Standup Awards in 2021, is an alumni of the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition, and lives in Berlin with his wife and their suspiciously photogenic dog.
