Originally from Saskatchewan and now based in Southern Ontario, The Deep Dark Woods take up a deep tradition of forlorn storytelling, drawing lines from Celtic folksongs to country blues, John Fahey to Shirley Collins. Lush and devastating, Boldt’s gothic surrealism is stark in detail and full of emotion, a murder balladeer for our time. A brand new album of original music recorded by David Parry (Loving, Alice Phoebe Lou) will be released on Victory Pool throughout 2025 complimented by tours of the UK, Canada, and Europe.

Nashville singer/songwriter Erin Rae and her group the Meanwhiles emerged in 2012 with a sound rooted in dreamy indie folk, Americana, and '70s pop/rock. Rae issued her minimalist solo debut, Putting on Airs, in 2018, followed in 2022 by the dynamic, retro-pop, and country-leaning Lighten Up.
