Vernisage am 3. Mai, während des Gallery Weekends, präsentiert die Newcomer-Künstlerin Milena Mott ihre immersive Ausstellung Modern Day Dating, welche bis Oktober 2025, im Desi Diner in der ehemaligen, lichtdurchfluteten Kantine des Finanzamts Neukölln. Mehr als eine klassische Ausstellung, verbindet dieses Event Kunst, Musik und Interaktion zu einer einzigartigen Erfahrung. Jedes Gemälde ist mit einem QR-Code versehen, der Zugang zu einer eigens komponierten Musik, einem Gedicht oder einer kleinen interaktiven Aufgabe bietet. Begleitet wird der Abend von den kuratierten südostasiatischen Fusion-Snacks von Shabnam Syed, die das Erlebnis geschmacklich abrunden. Gäste sind eingeladen, ihre Gedanken zu teilen und ihre Perspektiven in den Raum einzubringen. Liebe wird hier nicht nur betrachtet, sondern in all ihren Facetten erlebt. Bringt eure Kopfhörer mit!

Die Vision
Die Ausstellung lädt die Besucher*innen zu einer immersiven Erkundung von Liebe und Verbundenheit im digitalen Zeitalter ein. Jedes Gemälde wird mit einem OR-Code versehen, der es den Gäst*innen zu ermöglichen, auf eine einzigartige musikalische Komposition, ein Gedicht oder eine interaktive Aufgabe zuzugreifen, die ihre Auseinandersetzung mit dem Kunstwerk vertiett. Dieser multi-sensorische Ansatz verwandelt die Ausstellung in ein 360-Grad-Erlebnis, bei dem visuelle Kunst, Klang und Teilnahme miteinander verschmelzen und persönliche Reflexion anregen.
 

Die Künstlerin
Milena Mott - Kunst, Musik und die Erforschung der Liebe in der modernen Zeit Milena Mott ist bildene Künstlerin und Musikerin mit Sitz in Berlin. Sie hat einen Bachelor of Arts und schrieb ihre Abschlussarbeit über Synästhesie - ein Thema, das aus ihrer tiefen Neugier für die Verbindung zwischen Musik und Farbe entstand. Ihr künstlerisches Schaffen kreist um die Themen Liebe und die Suche nach Verbundenheit in der heutigen Gesellschaft, mit einem besonderen Fokus auf Online-Dating
 

Das Projekt
Seit zwei Jahren entwickelt Milena Mott Modern Day Dating, ein Projekt, das Porträtmalerei und musikalische Komposition verbindet, um die Liebe im digitalen Zeitalter zu erforschen. Ihre neuesten Werke setzen diese Auseinandersetzung fort und befassen sich mit Intimität, Verlangen und den vielschichtigen Dynamiken moderner Beziehungen. Für Mott ist Liebe sowohl ein Forschungsgegenstand als auch die höchste Form der Kunst - zutiefst individuell als auch universell. Durch Malerei und Musik fängt sie flüchtige Gedanken und geteilte Erfahrungen ein und offenbart die Komplexität unserer gemeinsamen Suche nach Verbindung.

On 3 May, during the Gallery Weekend, newcomer artist Milena Mott presents her immersive exhibition Modern Day Dating, which runs until October 2025, at the Desi Diner in the former light-flooded canteen of the Neukölln tax office. More than a classic exhibition, this event combines art, music and interaction to create a unique experience. Each painting is labelled with a QR code that provides access to specially composed music, a poem or a small interactive task. The evening will be accompanied by Shabnam Syed's curated Southeast Asian fusion snacks, which will add flavour to the experience. Guests are invited to share their thoughts and bring their perspectives to the space. Love is not only contemplated here, but experienced in all its facets. Bring your headphones!

Milena Mott - art, music and the exploration of love in modern times Milena Mott is a visual artist and musician based in Berlin. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and wrote her thesis on synaesthesia - a topic that arose from her deep curiosity for the connection between music and colour. Her artistic work revolves around the themes of love and the search for connection in today's society, with a particular focus on online dating

Her latest works continue this exploration and deal with intimacy, desire and the multi-layered dynamics of modern relationships. For Mott, love is both a subject of exploration and the highest form of art - both deeply individual and universal. Through painting and music, she captures fleeting thoughts and shared experiences, revealing the complexity of our shared search for connection.
