The number of homeless people in Hamburg has almost doubled in the last six years. This development is not limited to Hamburg, it can be heard throughout Germany. More and more people are fighting for survival on the streets in our midst. To change this, we need to take a closer look.
The photo exhibition by the "Leben im Abseits " association focuses on the contrast between wealth and poverty. Those affected show that there is also life in the word "survival": They master their everyday lives with perseverance, strength and creativity. In this exhibition, we give them a face - with their dreams and wishes.
The association Leben im Abseits e. V. is actively committed to reducing the stigmatization of homeless people. We are convinced that solidarity still exists in our society - but is often limited by prejudices and a lack of knowledge. We want to counteract these barriers by providing targeted information and education.
