Music theater project with young people from Mittelschule am Winthirplatz

Art in action - get involved!

Since the beginning of May this year, three artist tandems from ZIRKEL e.V. have been developing artistic performance formats with pupils from three classes at the Mittelschule am Winthirplatz (Munich-Neuhausen). The resulting pieces will be presented jointly by the professionals and the students as a public music-dance-theater promenade, in which the performers want to enter into dialogue with their audience.

The promenade begins with a single flute played by Illia Synev. Then over twenty young musicians join in and the group starts to move: more than 60 young people and 10 experienced artists, led by wheelchair dancer Sema Schäffer, flanked by two old-fashioned tricycles and their drivers. With music from all continents, circus elements, dance and theater, the group moves through the public space: a joyful invitation for guests and passers-by to join in and make contact.

The Promenade aims to inspire, bring people together and initiate a shared flow. The active artists are: Valdir Ferreira Mendes, Illia Synev, Nadja Fiebiger and Wolfgang Obrecht (music), Luise Fischer, Ellen Steinmüller and Sema Schäffer (dance) as well as Micaela Czisch and Andreas Schantz (theater and circus arts).
