Hanno Leichtmann presents SY-4

Hanno Leichtmann showcases what he can do with the iconic Pearl Syncussion SY-1 drum synthesizer, released as a compact cassette for The Tapeworm, who previously issued his recording Unfinished Portrait of Youth Today. The music follows a similarly encrypted logic. Hanno Leichtmann treats the one-of-a-kind drum synth as a completely malleable object - not just in terms of rhythm but in terms of matter, variously melting, diffusing and additionally re-connecting it in various states thru an ER-301 Sound Computer on recordings made in his studio and at the 4D Spatial Sound Institute in Budapest. Originally conceived as a sound installation, Hanno Leichtmann will present this work at the Synthesizer Museum Berlin as a live set with a unique modular setup and his specially modified Pearl SY-1.
