Curator Indira Béraud opens the Les Vitrines 2025 series with a solo exhibition by artist Isabella Benshimol Toro. The Phantom of Liberty transforms Les Vitrines into a tableau of a domestic interior. A cross-section of an apartment, open to Kurfürstendamm, becomes the scene of a tension between the private and public spheres. The works, created from architectural elements, pieces of furniture, underwear, used clothing and various textiles, permeate the space with a floating presence. Each work seems to carry the memory of an absent body and reveals an unspoken narrative, frozen in time.
Vernissage Thursday, February 13, 7 pm - Free admission
