He is a brilliant talk show host, they are two of the most important voices (and the most famous married couple) in German-language literature: Matze Hielscher has invited Monika Helfer and Michael Köhlmeier to a live talk exclusively for the Munich Literature Festival.

She tends to write briefly, but decorates their home lavishly. His novels are many pages long, but he prefers to keep things sparse on the outside. Despite this - or perhaps because of it? - they have been together for over four decades - a long time of mutual and individual growth, of happiness but (of course) also of disasters.

Is love compatible with work? Is there competition? Which languages of love do they speak fluently? And where does it sometimes falter?
