PULSAR presents NO HAY BANDA Vol. 1

In the organizer's words:

On June 20, we are hosting our first PULSAR event"NO HAY BANDA Vol. 1" at Locke. With PULSAR we want to create inspiring spaces for the underground music scene. The artists will play long DJ sets (3h+) - in line with our manifesto. The sound will range from experimental to danceable. It's not a classic club night, but a place to hang out, discover music and lose yourself in deep, genre-bending sets.

Martha Penelope: "I love music and especially DJing with records. I always incorporate elements of trip hop, bossa nova and dub techno into my sets, alongside other genres that just move me. Through my monthly radio show on FSK (Freies Sender Kombinat), "Marthas Plattenkiste", I have been able to deepen my connection to atmospheres and bring that energy into my DJ sets. Whether in a club or a bar, it's important to me to create a space where people can let themselves go and drift. Come by and let yourself be enveloped by the different rhythms and a wide selection of music."

Rœt/Keflér is a sound performance artist, DJ and producer from Hamburg. His sound moves between ambient, dub, trip hop, electronic and jazz, and his vinyl sets are usually a journey through soundscapes that are constantly changing in form. The focus is predominantly on organic grooves and texturally rich soundscapes. As a subtle border crosser, he moves between clubs, installations and listening spaces.

TAFUME has been in search of exceptional music since childhood - from CDs, to digital format, to vinyl and the thrill of discovering hidden gems in record stores. With more than a decade of DJ experience in Frankfurt, Austria and Hamburg, his sets evolved from bar residencies to deeper, cross-genre sessions with local rave crews. As co-founder of PULSAR, he focuses on creating spaces where DJs and listeners can truly connect through sound.

On the second floor, we are hosting a pop-up with creative contributions from independent cultural spaces and designers. This edition includes an official cooperation with KULTUR&GUT - the Hamburg collective that connects culture, design and community. KUGU presents a selection of graphic prints, curated objects and locally made pieces from their KUGU SHOP, always carried by the independent spirit that defines this event.
