What can an ecological future beyond capitalist logic look like? Katja Wagner and Maximilian Hauer ("Climate and capitalism. A plea for ecological socialism", together with Maria Neuhauss) argue for a democratic eco-socialism that interweaves ecological and social struggles. Michael Hirsch and Kilian Jörg ("Perforate the status quo! Autonomous zones, radical democracy and ecology"), on the other hand, consider alternative forms of coexistence along the lines of autonomous zones and radical democratic experiments. The discussion will focus on visions of ecological transformation - between system change and counter-power, between socialist planning and decentralized autonomy.
